2 weeks out- buffet?

A friend who doesn't know about my rny has asked me to join her at a dinner theater, for which she has tickets, but her husband can't attend. It's a buffet, so I'm not sure how to navigate it. I will tell her I had hernia surgery or something and can't really eat, but I'm sure there's something I can have. My doc has me on purees. In sure there will be soup. Are mashed potatoes ok? Would watermelon be ok? I'm so nervous.

  • How about fish? Is that touch and go with some people?

I’d get a big slice of prime rib and maybe a rack of ribs then I’d get a big mac and some fries... or you can say I’d love to - is it ok to just meet you at the theater part -

I love fish and tolerate very well. I have had broiled shrimp. walleye and cod.

mild fishes like cod or tilapia. Soups. i wouldn't do fruit unless you are cleared for fruits, besides you need the Protein first and that will fill you up.
