Still running tests, nothing serious i don't think, i think I'm just really dehydrated but I've been on lots of fluids and my belly still hurts so we shall see

2 weeks post op tomorrow. Feel awesome and am not on any pain meds. Feel 100%. All wounds are healing up great. Only issues am having is head hunger. No feelings of being full at all. Sometimes get a bit frustrated about that as not satisfied. Eating about 2 oz pureed until soft food intro on the 18th at my one month follow up. How much is everyone else eating at this point?

I eat until my back tells me I'm done. My back will get a pain when I'm just at that point. But about 1/4 cup is what I can get down comfortably in one sitting. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much! I have not increased the amount I am eating for a week. Do not know my signals yet. Going to increase my next meal and try 1/4 cup...scary!

Well no wonder your starving. Haha eat girl. Well probably when you actually fill your pouch you will start to be able to pick up in your fullness-signs.

I'm on "purée" also, but I do throw some shrimp and soft cheeses in there seems to hold more weight. The baby bell cheese's are amazing. Lol. And a great snack

I just wanted to thank everyone who kept my dad and family in their prayers !!! He went from being told they couldn't fix his heart and he was going to die to finding the best aortic cardiologist surgeon on the east coast!! He had surgery to repair his torn aorta Thursday and is recovering well!! They expect him to be able to go home next week and make a full recovery soon!!! God is amazing!!!

Awesome news!

Very bummed today. I have been overdoing it and injured my nerves near the left incision. I was in horrible pain. Had to go in to doc and ended up getting a nerve block. It eased the pain for awhile but it's hurting now. The steroid he injected will work in about 3-5 days.

Oh u poor thing take it easy on yourself mama. I should listen lol because I think I'm doing the same by pushing myself. Praying for u my friend

My nut told me during this pureed stage I will only be getting between 20-30 grams of protein daily. And the 60-70 grams will only be reached at stage 4. So I don't really stress about getting to 60 grams at this point. I'm happy if I reach 30.

Your lucky mine told me to get in 60-65! I'm doing it but its hard I'm paranoid about my hair falling out my sister had surgery back in Nov and because she's not getting all her protein in her hair is falling out :(

A little funny....

So one of my surgeons comes in my room and says "did anyone tell you the good news?"' date=' I respond and say "YES, I get to drink water!!", she looked at me like I was crazy and then said "ya that too, but more important you don't have a leak anymore!", to which I say "oh ya that too!! I think I am just more excited about drinking water right now!"

Ok well it was funny to me because she looked at me like WTH is wrong with this girl!?! Lol!! :)[/quote']

I love your spirit girl!! Very happy for u!! Stay strong!

Down 30 pounds since surgery 3/11/13' date=' but the scale has not moved in days, and I'm trying to remain calm. I'm getting in all my protein & water, and my calories are running 500-600, w/ the goal of about 800 per my NUT. I have multiple sclerosis & have not exercised, literally, in years. This week I started low impact water aerobics & chair yoga. Could I be building muscle already? Or am I just being too much of a nut about the scale? I'm trying not to be crazed but failing!![/quote']

You maybe building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat I wouldn't worry too much your only in the beginning. You'll get there :)
