March 2013 Post Op "A New Life 2013"

Recommended Posts

Way to go Kraney!!!! That's quite an accomplishment!!!! My anniversary was yesterday, 1 year out!!! I went from a high weight of 234lbs, down to 108lbs and I feel amazing!!! Went on a walk through Main St. With my dogs and boys walked 2 miles and I didn't even get my heart rate up!! Last year before surgery I wouldn't have been able to walk half a block without getting winded!!! My kids and dogs were worn out halfway through... But not me!!!

My oldest one decided to take pics along the way... I didn't know he was doing it... I looked through my pics this morning and was like who is that walking my dog??? Oh it's me!!!

Been on the longest plateau ever.

It could be the fact that I am on meds for the past few months as we are trying to have a child. And we have to do it through IVF.

I have also had to be on meds, not just my wife.

But hopefully all is done and I don't have to take them anymore. Will find out soon if we have been successful.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
