What ya eating tonight?

I had a small sweet potato, with a tablespoon of i cant believe its butter,

And i boiled a boneless skinless chicken breast. With salt and pepper, curry, garlic powder and some soul food seasoning. After it cooked i put a tablespoon of BBQ sauce to the side so the bites of chicken wouldnt be to dry,

All was good, filled up quick even tho i was slow eating

I LOVE turkey burgers! They are a little softer than beef burgers, but taste great. I prefer them over beef.

Whole wheat pizza with green peppers and onions. ^_^

This is breakfast, but I thought I'd share. Just made something ever so yummy. Mixed an egg with a tablespoon of cottage cheese and bit of shredded cheddar cheese, scrambled it and then added a wedge of Laughing Cow Garlic & Herb, which kind of melted into it. I'm still in mushies, so this was the perfect texture. AND 19g protein.

Ok, 19g if I could finish it all.

Love me some lettuce wraps from P F Changs.....

Omg meeeee toooo

In my Sam's Club I found chicken patties that have grilled onions and Swiss cheese in them. They are fully cooked...just brown and eat. They are delicious and have 180cal, 10gfat, and 20g protein in a patty

What name or manufacturer does it say on the package?

There is a lot of difference on here on what food is permitted by everyone's doctors. A few of us' date=' it seems, have doctors who don't allow bread, rice, pasta (even whole wheat), popcorn, crackers, etc. My doc says to keep carbs as low as possible so I don't eat any of those things. However, I do think most people can have some carbs. Hope that helps.

Thx. I just learned from my doc I'm not allowed bread, pasta, or rice for 3 months because it expands in ur pouch after u eat it.

I'm gonna try em without the lettuce Saturday night! LOVE their lettuce wraps but we'll see what the new tummy thinks!!!

Yeah I would love a healthy version of PF changs lettuce wraps. Those things are loaded with sugar but they are heaven!!

Agreed100%!!!! I'm here because I need someone that understands. Even if its just the daily frustration of obesity or the funky post-op hormones' date=' or griping about my bat wings (which aren't so bad yet....but my inner thighs, oh lord have mercy...), y'all get me!!! I have a fabulous support system, my family, friends, and co-workers are all amazingly supportive, heck, even my patients are on board. But in the end, they haven't been here, they don't understand...

Let's face it... If any of us were so great with food choices , we wouldn't have needed the surgery. For me...this is my second opportunity at life and I'm not about to make the same choices as before. We will all have slip ups with food but we should be eatting healthy 90% of the time. Who are we to judge? I say focus on our own bodies and if someone on here needs to talk or wants advice than we should then offer our support, but no "beat up sessions".

I felt ok but no more sweet potatoes ever full of carbs!!! I try to only take in 60 carbs a day my doctor never said anything about carbs only protein but even if I try to stay under 50 carbs I always seem to get between 75 and 100 carbs. No not every day but at least 3 times a week and it's tough. So I know I can't have any fruit way to much carbs. Beans or peas also loaded with carbs. Some other veggies like carrots squash carbs galore. Looks like its just meat and chicken and fish stuff.

I think Myfitnesspal has it out for me lol. I think I am doing good some days and boom it lets me down again.

Please add me as ur friend on fitness pal. I am pinkyisfabulosity

Hey B!!!

I don't use bread crumbs in the patties...I toast almonds and then grind them and use those along with a little grated Parmesan.

I made up a cup of dried white beans earlier. Going to sauté garlic and onion, add basil, oregano and thyme, 2 ripe tomatoes, the beans and a couple big handfuls of baby spinach and then add in a bit of parm and pepper.
