Buenos Dias Violetas~

WOW...Miss Pamela tied one on last night!!!:beer::beer::beer::beer::cocktail::cocktail::cocktail::cocktail::cocktail::cocktail: Well, not that many. Just a few shots of Patron! Had fun...but was very naughty. Yes, we went to eat at 9pm!!!! BADBADBAD.

I am glad I don't drink too often. Susanne has to work today, and it is so rare that I have a Friday night to myself. So, now, I am going over to her place and get to sit on base all day. I am bringing her and I lunch, and we will watch movies on her puter. But hey, at least we are together. I'll drive 4 hours (total) just to be w/ her about 18. WOW...that is love.

Jane, great pix and article. You looked wonderful!

So glad Kat is on the other side of this ordeal.

Purple Power to Texas! We love you Terry! I know what your going through...hang tough honey!

Off to play scrabble before I shower and hit the road! See you all tomorrow!

Hi Everyone -- just catching up on posts - I have been traveling in Atlanta and Alabama.

This is absolutely the best cake I have ever eaten. Enjoy for the holidays!

Preheat oven to 350

1 box Moist Deluxe Butter Recipe cake mix

4 eggs

1 block cream cheese

1/2 cup oil

1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon lemon extract

(Mix all the above together in the mixing bowl, I usually put everything in and then cut the cream cheese in four chunks and add the lemon extract at the end after beating it all together and then a mix in the extract).

Bake for about 30-45 minutes, watch in the oven, depends on your oven until it is brown on top. I usually stick through it to make sure it is completely done inside.

Flip it out of the bundt pan onto the cake plate and let sit about 5 minutes. Mix Confectionary sugar and lemon juice together in measuring cup and drizzle on top. I just put the sugar in and then add the lemon juice (no particular amount) until the mixture is still thick but thin enough to pour on top.

Enjoy - Enjoy - Enjoy

Well............ my secret was LUCK! Today I bounced back up all the way to 210! but since I saw the 205 I'm leaving it.

food yesterday was............. lunch hamburger helper, and dinner was biscuits and gravy and for desert was two bite site pumpkin tarts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so that explains the jump.....

very little Protein and a lot of salt! The sad thing is that I had no problem eating those things albeit I didn't eat pre band portions but still two weeks ago ONE bite of either of those things would of gotten stuck...... going to try and do better today although I promised the boys I would make my enchilada's for lunch................

Have a great day everyone...... :)

OK i have to do CTC WEEK. Tracyks you are doing great. I did so good then the funeral.... and it was self distruct and I ate out 2 times yesterday. Had an 2 eggs and a few potatoes and come chicken and as my choices were much better... I know i was bad. Today I'm going to Breakfast with an old friend (who is back to work with me at night, and makes it so much better) after we got to the gym we are emeting.

I have got to figure out how I can get my butt to the gym.

I have one of those ab lounges (laundry hanger) which I am cleaning off and will be using every day. I feel the rest of me is shrinking and not my belly so I will do that. I've only lost 4 inches in 2 months. what a difference the gym makes.

My arms are getting muscular from work, I will now be doing the ovens 2 nights a week, and those pizzas are heavy and 2 ovens are tall so I have to really work.

well, I hope you all have a great sunday, i'll check in throughout the day

I'm not a proud bandster right now, I'm making bad bad food choices. I'm looking for my motivation.. where'd it go you guys? :)

I think it was panda that mentioned being called skinny? Maybe not, but I know someone was talking about it. At the bowling alley now, that is my nickname. The owner is a close family friend, and all my dad's poker/golf buddies that bowl know about the band. So we went to bowl yesterday and 3 of them in the course of the time we were there said "Hey Skinny!", loud and clear for all to hear. It didn't bother me, but then people there for parties or just fun that don't know me, look up and of course I'm NOT skinny so they probably thought it's one of those reverse nicknames.. which then emberassed me. My brother is 6'9 and about 350lbs.. in high school his name was P-Wee. So that's like how my new nickname feels hah.

I need to jump back on the band wagon. Someone kick me in the pants.

Do you know that there aren't any "kick me in the pants" smilies?? hmmmmm... Well, here are the best I could find...

the ever popular "hit me in the head with a fish":

:)

or the tried and true "whip me into shape":

:whip:

Pick whichever works for you Laura, and consider yourself "fished" or "whipped"!

I can empathize with you, Laura, because this is what happens w/me. I lose a chunk of weight (say, 50-60lbs, like now), & I can start wearing new clothes & feeling good & folks start to notice & comment & make a fuss and so then I start getting cocky... all the while somehow completely forgetting that I am STILL clocking in @ 254 or some ridiculously high number and that that is still flippin' FAT! Sorry, but it is! Yes, I've done good so far, but I still have at least that much more to go! This is exactly where traditionally I would've "lost" control of whatever diet I was on & started working my way back up the scale. I am hopeful that, even w/my reduced restriction lately, that the band will prevent that from being able to happen... either through eating less or giving me PBs to remind me who's boss... & that I'll get it that it's easier to eat the proper way, keep exercising (which makes me feel good AFTER I do it but I still fight going), and keep losing.

<Michelle steps down off soapbox, but hey, you *did* ask for it! ;) and I quote "Someone kick me in the pants.">

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
