Good Morning, Violets.

Well, I'm bruised and battered this morning, but alive and able to move around. I did sleep well last night, so that's good. I have VBS today, then playing flute for a special church service at noon, then babysitting Ethan and then playing flute with my dulcimer group tonight, so I should be well worn out by the end of the day today.

Everyone have a good one! WWJD.........

Hi All,

Tracy you look fabulous, and your so pretty, like everyone else said 'strut your stuff' at the end of the day its your family, and they love you!

Judy are you ok? The accident sounded painful, it is a good idea to wear head protection, hope your not too bruised.

Tracy, I am pleased to be back with the 'violets crew' this keeps us focused, and its so nice to share our ups and downs in life with everyone on here. You know, April seems like an eternity ago now, doesnt it? Since we all had our bands.......its funny, I remember our trepidation/excitement etc prior to banding, and now were all like 'old timers' getting to grips with what our own personal goals are, how tight our bands need to be and adjustments. I've been lucky, the last time I had problems re slimming/ getting food stuck was weeks ago in Mexico, but touch wood, I havent had any problems since.

I've been eating off of a tea (size of your hand) sized plate now, and I dont feel deprived, but its enought. (Long may that last!)

Have a great day everyone,

Love Sara xxxxxxxx

MsJen, Sara, Schexy, Judy and Kat-

Thanks for the kind words!! I will wear it and try not to look as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

I would have gotten a better suit BUT since it was bought past the suit season, it was the only one left that would fit that did not make me look like Shamu. I will let you all know how it goes...

My arms are almost as big as my thighs for crying out loud. My angel wings will have to come off after I get to goal...along with a serious Tummy Tuck. But it will SO be worth it! BUT, this time 6 months ago you would not have caught me dead in a bathng suit, much less in public!!

Judy...I am so glad you had a helmet on. I am sure you are bruised, but at least you are here and not in a ....well, you know :)

The scales have not moved in close to 2 weeks and I am starting to get frustrated but I know it is just temporary.

Everyone have a great day and remember..WWJD?!!

Here's a picture of the boat we will be picking up. I do so wish we could keep the SHERIFF sign on it, I know it would be oodles of fun, but we were told we had to remove the stickers before we could register the boat. Party poops!!!

OMG I just typed the longest post in the world for me and my ds was fooling around and hit my puter and I lost it.

Jennifer - yes I was on last night, so tired I couldn't type, let alone refresh to see new post.

TracyK- you look awesome, I don't remember who said it last night but....GO GET A SEXIER SUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Judy - Nice boat, that would be fun to leave the letters on. Hope you are feeling better from your crash... dd's teacher goes to safety things and does lectures because she would have been killed in a crash but her helmet saved her life, and was split in 1/2. she brings it with her to show the kids.

TracyKS-I talked to him the other day, he was kind of on board but doesn't know what he is doing when he is done. I am not going to pressure him but I'm going to do it either way. I am going to start doing some leg work and get some estimates and working relationships with local contracors and electricians.

I just got a call, so early in the morning, from Stewarts, it is a local corner shop, ok huge company here in NY. I applied for an internal auditor position with them less than 2 weeks ago, they mailed me a letter acknowledging me the end of last week and I have an interview in the am. They have great benefits and not a desk job. and not nights.

I miss my kids, I miss cooking, I was just getting into that and having a variety of stuff, and now I'm working so much I can't do it.

Anyway, I'm off to meet with someone about health insurance. I hope to save $300 a month while I'm in between jobs. Cobra sucks.

Good Morning Everyone!

Not much going on with me -- Went out two nights in a row and drank wine. Ugh. I really don't enjoy it like I used to. (Listening, Sara?) I don't even know why I do....mostly out of habit, I think. Go out with friends = have a glass (or two or three) of wine. It just messes me up for the whole next day no matter if I have one or three. Note to self: Stop drinking, dammit! :D But back in the day it was nothing for me to have 10 drinks/week. Now I have about 4/month -- big improvement. Baby steps. And yes, I missed a workout last night but already have planned to make it up on Friday.

Judy - I'm so sorry about your boo-boos! :cry Is your bike ok?? LOL

TracyK - I think you look darling in your swimsuit and I think Kat is right. Shoulders back and strut, girl, strut! The Water will feel great!

BTW - I only got 3 bracelets made over the weekend and I need to make 11....so they're coming...eventually! :phanvan

Josiebies, Chica Chula and SchexyMomma and I have made plans to meet for dinner again next Tuesday! I can't wait! They're such sweet girls -- you'd love them too.

Ya'll have a great day. I've been making these graphic-intense powerpoint slides for days now... my eyes are going buggy :)...but I gotta get back at it.

TRACYK: That suit is almost tooooooooooo big!!!!!!!!!!!!! HECK if I LOOKED AS GOOD AS YOU DO IN THAT SUIT I MIGHT JUST GO SKINNY DIPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have thin arms and thin legs, nice boobs, and since its a skirt suit I can't even tell how your belly is.......... I agree with schexymomma... you need a SEXIER SUIT cause girl you need to FLAUNT IT!!!!!!!!!!

KAT: Hang in there........ I just got off the phone with my sons daycare he was in the back ground throwing toys, screaming and refusing to come to the phone........... it wasn't even 8:00 a.m. yet and they were wanting me to come pick him up.........these hot days are getting to everyone as they don't go outside at all and all excursions have been stopped for the summer........ he needs vacation as much as we do.

Judy- Glad you're ok!!! And nice boat :)

My niece is flying into town today. She is 6 years old.. we haven't seen her since she was less than 1. She lives in New Jersey with her mom.. She'll be here for a week, we're taking her to Chuck-E-Cheese Saturday. I'm excited and nervous. She doesn't know any of us, so I wonder how smooth this transition will be..

Awww Tracy, sorry to hear son is having issues this morning. My morning is quiet so far. Lindzie is veru subdued, lying on the couch watching TV, which she would do all day, every day, if I allowed it. I should have turned it off by now, but they are watching, How'd they Make That....and the girls are talking nice and calm about it---so I am letting it go for now, not ready for the battling to begin! Lazy Granny!!!

They are going to stay with my folks for a couple of hours this afternoon, 2 of my friends (we have been friends since 5th grade!) want to take me to lunch for my birthday, and since we might not be here next week we are doing it today. One of them, has not changed one iota! Well actually they are both the same the one was a strange girl, and grew into a strange woman!!!! I don't mean that to say I don't like her, she is just a wild, crazy, lady! She got pregnant and left school VERY young. She lost her baby, and went on to go through a pretty rough decade or so of drug use. She eventually straightened up, and had a son. Then her DH died, from the exact same type of GI bleed my DH had---same bleed, same Dr., same hospital, everything. Except hers died...scared me to no end, when Rick was so bad. I really thing they learned something with him dying that helped save Rick. She has since gone on and remarried. It was her twin brother who was killed in the forklift accident I mentioned a few months back. But now she is telling us she is communicating with the dead. And she held a double conversation, with the other friend and I and some dead biker she knew!!! I'm telling you these lunches can be interesting!!!

Well I did my elliptical last night, for a whole 15 minutes. I have begun using a set work out, so the resistance goes up and down like you are climbing hills. I used to be able to ride it without resistance for 30 minutes. OMG this way, I barely made the 15 minutes!!! But it raised my heart rate without a doubt! Today I will hit Curves. And do some free weights tonight. DH will be keeping me in line now! I have to add WWDHD to my WWJD!!! I know what neither one of them would have done, and I Did do last night. ***warning food porn*** I battered and fried some fresh squash last night, it was so good!!!!!!!!! I was positive I could fit in one more slice---oooooh there was no room, and I made myself so sick. I spit the entire time I was on the elliptical, trying to keep from tossing everything, I felt sooooo sick! I managed not to PB with it, and the sliming stopped, but the thought of food just turns my stomach right now. Eeewwww. And my friend is hinting at Chinese for lunch....double Eeeewww!!! It wasn't the squash, or the fact that it was fried, it was my own stupidity trying to eat too much! I knew better---I KNEW. But it tasted so good, I wanted more.....now I don' wanna no more!

Judy glad you are moving ok this morning, hope the kids at VBS are nice to you!!!

My SIL just called, she just come home yesterday from taking 2 of her DD's to be banded. And she had most of her fill removed, she was way too tight. She said she feels much better now, so that's good.

Well I am going to go get some things done....I have to leave feedback....good feedback!!! We bought the kids a set of Mexican Train Dominoes, and they came yesterday. I like their set better than my own!!!

Everyone have a good day, hope your son settles down Tracy--bring him to my house I'll let him veg in front of the TV I am so good!!!!

Kat

Kat- WOW on the elliptical. That thing kills me. When I go to the gym, I get on it, and I try to do the easiest I can.. longest I've lasted is 3 minutes. And if I go back the next day, it's not even 1 minute, all of a sudden those same muscles just give out on me. 15m on that is QUITE A WORK OUT! GO YOU!

I'm with you Laura! I tried the eliptical and after 1 minute I was pushing the stop button!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I think super restriction has hit full force............ I've been having a hard time with most everything.. that and I've been taking too big of bites and not chewing enough....... duhhhhhhh I KNOW.... but this is weird.. I'm eating cheddar cheese and shaved turkey and I'm having a HECK of a time! This is the first time I can really say that I'm REALLY restricted.. and I know it is because of TOM....... that and the dang scale won't budge for me........

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
