Lucky you I'm 27 days post op and going on 30 days of liquid diet and u won't know exactly if I can have puree or just another liquid diet item addition to the stuff I have now but I know at the end of it all , it will pay off and that I will eventually be able to eat something just got to let one of my closet friends go called food

The foam vomit is the worst! Gross! Thanks for the papaya enzyme tip. I will be buying some ASAP. Wendy's chili is great for me. I've also discovered Fage yogurt which has 28 g of protein per cup. I got it at Walmart.

I haven't seen it there. Just two other kinds of Greek yogurt and reg diet

My surgeon doesn't do purée he takes you from liquids to soft food and slowly advance when u r ready. Meats are still a problem for me' date=' but chili it really sets good in my pouch no matter whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. I am always worried about throwing up so if my stomach feel upset i just use sf peppermint or gum. All surgeon are different it depends on the technique used. I didn't have a drain tube or staples, just glue over my incision when I healed it fell off.[/quote']

I thought no gum in case we swallow and it gets stuck and causes stricture

I'm home!!! It's so hard getting fluids in!! Ugh!

Keep trying it does get better.

Nope. I cried 2 days ago because I wanted to chew something and again yesterday because I've decided I hate Protein shakes. It's normal so they say.

Bless you! Yep gotta love the mental depression that shows up with surgery, it does pass. I cried over what yogurt to buy at the store. Hang in there.

I get car master yogurt at Krogers. Amazing. They have ones like cinnamon buns and carrot cake and other yummy ones. Love it.

Somebody help me. I'm 3 weeks 4 days post op and my left side and back are still killing me. My doctor said it was because of the big stitch on the inside in the left where they did most if the work and when it dissolves (4-6 weeks) the pain will go away. Now yesterday my stomach is hurting worse but differently. Not only do I have the pain on my left side now I'm severely cramping like as if I had menstrual cramps or diarrhea. I don't have either. I am so sick of hurting. I am getting severely depressed.
