I have worked with people who have had WLS on the psych unit where I work. I have only heard of the psych eval being failed when there was a history of chronic self injury and severe personality disorder.

Scheduled my Psyc eval today! It's this Friday. Oh wow! He said it would probably only be one session and I was happy to hear it, lol!!

I had mine about 3 months ago.. It was a piece of cake for me.

I just sat with this lady in her office and we talked, having a normal conversation about surgery.

Was about 35-45 minutes and said I was a great candidate to be successful and wished me the greatest of luck when I left!

Hope yours is just as easy!

I had my psychiatric evaluation today. It went well. He said he would not give me a thumbs up or of thumbs down. But that he felt like I was well adjusted and he hopes everything works out for me. He had lots of questions like why didn't I think I could lose the weight without the surgery because I'm doing so good pre op. I guess I'll know something later. I feel pretty good about it. I'll keep you posted!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
