Band removal then Bypass

Recommended Posts

So, my date the take my band out had been changed - it is now two weeks earlier and my bypass surgery is still the same date. Meaning I will be without anything for 2 months. This scares the heck out of me. I mean I feel like once it comes out in just going to gain...and then there is there is the uncertainty of bypass. My prime concern is holding myself accountable for my actions. In other words, really working on my willpower. Has anyone gone through this before? My surgeon feels it is necessary to do the procedure in two parts in order to give my stomach the ability to heal (scarring). It is being taken out because I massive reflux. The reason I am going to do bypass rather than VSG.

I had the same thing ..i had the band taken out for emergency and had to wait 4 months before the other surgery. I stuck with the foods and same routine as if i had the band inside of me.. at times is was hard but i have great support at home that got me through it .. i wish you luck

I would suggest the same pretend you have the band & restrict your self from over eating. You can do it it's only 2 months.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
