I'm about 2 months out! Things are great I'm loosing a good amount and finally starting to feel normal again...but I'm having a bit of problem with loosing ALOT of my hair! I mean its not like it look like in Balding in the front or anything it's just today I washed and conditioned my hair and began to detangle it and like clusters were comming out!! I have to admit I am kinda used to it due to stress and things like that but now since I won't be getting the proper nutrition I need to know what can I do to slow this down or prevent it. I heard the Biotin was good have any of you guys used it and have u noticed a change? Are there extra Vitamins I need to take or what's going on with this whole thing? Oh and by the way previously before I washed it today I had a weave in my hair for about 1 1/2 it was both a glue and sew in. It does pull my hair but never like this! I need help!!!!!!

I do the highest Biotin I can find, garnier Shampoo and conditioner called fall fight that has biotin in it and a spray by them with the same. I also make sure i get in all my required Protein. I even do more than required. The better you are with the protein the better you will be with the Hair loss.< /p>

Exactly. Protein is the key.

Am almost 2 months out too. I already have thin hair so I asked my doctor, and she said Biotin & zinc daily with the Vitamins. Just started today.

Just some advice from me, I was losing my hair really bad too. I still am and I am 6 months out. Use Biotin. I take the pills I swallow and also the ones that disolve under the tongue. I also use the Garnier Fall Fight Shampoo conditioner and also the spray. The most important part of it though is the Protein. My doctor says to make sure to get 75+ grams of protein per day, I am staying close to 100grams. If you are doing all of this, then the Hair loss should be minimal. There will be some, but not to the point of balding. Good luck with all of this. It is so sad to see your hair coming out. I cried. If you do all of the above you should be fine. It should slow down at about a year out. There are a lot of hormonal things going on right now. Once your body starts normalizing all this will go away. Hope this helps :)

I have not experience hair lost yet I just had my surgery on the eighth of October, but protien, Biotin and or zinc is the key and to limit the amount of stress on your hair im a "Natural" so I hope that helps me I do alot of twist outs and things but nothing where my hair is "stressed" ya kno or tight also I think the key to black Hair growth really is keeping it moisturized (the one thing I think we lack) and I not talking just products im talking Water the best beverage for our body is also the best thing to go on our hair. Lol although most aint tryna hear getting they heads wet. Lol. One more thought I hear Hair loss usually starts at about 3mos and ends at 6mos to a year, but jus keep up wit those Vitamins and no stressful hair styles.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
