OMG.... Today was my last day to eat anything I wanted before my 2 week liquid diet starts tomorrow and I wasn't really hungry go figure lol I had french vanilla coffee with whipped cream for Breakfast, a corndog with a few chili cheese fries for lunch, and I had no clue what I wanted for dinner so I let my kiddos pick so it was off to mcdonald's for a big mac meal for mommy and a happy meal for my boys what a great way to spend the day with the guys that mean the most to me in my life :)

Hi guys! I'm seven hours out from my surgery and I'm surprised how fine I am. I'm starved and thirsty but I've decided this is the best thing for me. I'm so tired of fighting the weight battle with no real success. I pray this tool will help me like it has with so many others.

Good luck to my surgery buddies today!! :-).

Do the same thing as you said with walking honestly it makes recovery so much easier when you purposely walk. Sitting around will make you even more tired on top of the surgery recovery and lack of calories. I am post op day 5 trust me it gets better.

I am post op day four feeling great I have been walking on the treadmill and relaxing. I am having a hard time getting liquids because I am just so full. It also hurts a bit when the liquid hits my stomach. All and not bad at all I expected this to be ten times worse! Post op visit is tomorrow I gained like 5 lbs in the hospital from all the IVF so I am hoping I have she'd those and more by tomorrow. Keep the faith guys it gets better!

Hope it gets better, Give it time! I thought this would be 10x harder too!! Try different temperature fluids and sip slow. :)

Good idea karma I moved all my meds and things to the kitchen so I would have to get up and I started a journal to keep track of when to take what it is to hard to keep track of all of it unless I write it down

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
