obviously call your doctor/surgeon/nurse ect first before deciding anything, but from what i gathered it is a small enough pill and should work just fine, take with food and lots of (sips) of Water, also you may want to consider an iud, i have the copper iud (hormone free) and we use rubbers and even spermicidal foam when i am VERY paranoid, we have only *ahem* been intimate twice since surgery but are taking NO chances, of course as soon as I hit that 18-24 month mark all bets are off! I can't wait to start TRYING to get pregnant! we lost a baby a year ago (canada day) and it was a huge hit to both of us emotionally, but when we found out my surgery was coming up it helped ease that feeling of desperation and helped us look forward to the possibility of another child soon and far enough away from the miscarriage that we have both moved on with great success

I'm sorry for your loss. congrats on the go ahead.

thanks, i have always taken solace in the fact that it happened on canada day, the day we lost the baby we came home and my partner put our recliners on the balcony (15th floor) and we sat holding hands and watched the fireworks, it made me feel like we were able to Celebrate the possibility of life and this year we did the same thing, sat on the balcony and watched the fireworks for him and it made it feel less lonely and more significant.

I am also able to rejoice in the fact that the next time we try for a child i will be in much better health and will be in a much better capacity to parent two children. it is all about self-care, which in turn helps promote a better family life <3

Punk Rock Mama, you are some kind of wonderful my dear, thanks for sharing and I'm sorry for your loss.

The pharmacist said I have the go ahead and just to keep an eye on things.

Btw, the sexy night made for some awkward positions but it really helped me gas today, my breathing is deeper and I slept like a baby without any meds at all!

Bawhahaha we went for some good old slow sweet vanilla, which with the pain was actually quite spicy :P

I have no problem sharing my experiences, you never know who has been through what until you ask, and you never know what you can relate to until you hear someone else say it :)

Yeah but you're a guy, guys would be willing to canoodle lying in a ditch after having their legs blown off by a landline ( not to generalize, just in my experience lol)

It's all about the endorphins baby! An I think a) not being able to do it makes you want it more and B) personally, having my man cater to me night and day made me crazy about him and re-awakened a deep love and appreciation for him...and what better way to show him lol

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
