I would like to be added to the Facebook group. My name is Jessica Brown. Email is msjayebrown@gmail.com.

On another topic. I am having a hard time getting 60g of Protein in plus liquids. I am never hungry. I just don't want to eat. Tomorrow will be one month for me and I feel like I should be adjusting to eating (soft foods) better by now.

So I have a question about the Facebook page I have not told very many people about the surgery and do not plan on it can people see but I'm a part of the group and know what is 4

I haven't told anyone on my Facebook and do not want to either. Will they know that i'm in the group if I get added? I want to join but I am a little apprehensive because it has RNY with the page

For no one to know the group needs to be secret instead of closed. With a secret group posts will not show up on regular FB and it won't say so and so joined group so and so. I too am apprehensive because I have not told a lot of people.

Seems like a long time. Do you have disolvable stitches? I had surgery on 9/10 and my stitches were removed about 9 days later. Mine were different in that I was stitched inside just under skin with just a tail sticking out on both sides. Not comfortable having the long suture removed five times!! Anyway, they then put another set of steristrips on and I was allowed to remove them 7 days later, which was 9/26.

Hey Jessica, there are a few Jessica browns. Either describe your profile pic or friend me (Maria Criscenti Newman) and then I can add you to the group.

I still don't get in all my protein and fluids. It's a bit overwhelming so I just do my best. I haven't found a Protein Shake that doesn't upset my pouch.

I understand. Feel free to friend me and see what shows up on my timeline. I know the posts we make are private but I don't know if it shows we joined the group or not. I'm Maria Criscenti Newman. I didn't tell anyone beforehand and have only told a few people afterwards so far.

I have a question! How did you get a surgery date for sep if you hadn't finished all your pre recs? I wanted to get my rny done by my bday sep 24 I see the phy on Tuesday then all I have left is to see the nutritionist. When do I make my finale appt with the doc? I need answers please :-)

My pre-op and surgery date were given to me the same day. I guess it's up to the doc's office everyone may be different. As soon as they got my approval from my insurance it was set.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
