Can you do edibles instead? My friend ended up going that route, even though smoking was quicker, the Syrup she took was easier.

Does anyone have any insight on edibles causing dumping syndrome?

You can make your own or buy no/low sugar versions. Only thing required in an edible is oil since THC is oil soluble. So if you can eat a small candy, cookie or brownie with no issues, then you shouldn't have any issues with *any* edibles. Normally edibles are fairly small.

I've eaten some store-bought edibles (chocolate or Gummy bears) and they didn't cause dumping, most likely due to how small the portion sizes were. I ate them to relieve nausea and joint pain; did not get the munchies.

Thanks for info Matt! I'm only a few weeks post op so I'm not even there yet but I wasn't planning on being able to eat candy for awhile due to dumping syndrome.

If you get hard candies, you shouldn't get any dumping at all given the small amount of sugar and the fact that you break down and absorb a good portion of things in your mouth while sucking on the candy.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
