Food Cravings, depression, crazy!

Recommended Posts

I've done a juice fast before just for a detox for 10 days so I can't understand why I am finding this pre-op full liquid diet so difficult. I miss food. I actually chewed chips up just to taste them and have the crunch then spit it out. Ugh! I am about to eat some Soup & popsicles.

Well this is the worst part! Just do your best and do not cheat! I promise it will get easier! You can do this. I know it is hard!

I've also done a 7 day juice fast, but am finding it pretty difficult to wrap my head around my 10 day all liquid Protein pre op diet.

But lucky for me, I have another few days until I've got to start it. I find out my surgery date tomorrow and then it becomes real.

Yep, for me the pre op diet was the hardest. Here's some tough love. Get your head around this now, you want to shrink your liver pre-op and have the best possible outcome for surgery and after. It's hard, it gets easier, you've got this. Try to picture self 6-8 months down the road. Don't let your head sabotage your success. It's still a head game post op as well. Good luck!!!

How many times can I love this? It's exactly what I needed to hear. I think sometimes we get so focused on making it threw the surgery itself that we forget to keep the head in check.

This may sound crazy..but I am not familiar with the full liquid preop diet. My preop consists of 2 shakes +. 1 low fat/ low carb/ high Protein. Is that what you're referring to by full liquid preop diet?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
