Dr. Elias Ortiz - A lighter Me

Recommended Posts

Well i can tell you that i had Dr. Ortiz and he was awesome. The kind of first rate care i got was incredible. He spent more time answering my questions and talking with me about concerns than any dr or surgeon ive seen in canada.

By the way..just because he is not a "certified" bariatric surgeon..doesnt mean he wasnt taught by the best. Dr. Lopez taught Dr. Ortiz and a few other Drs. If he didnt know what he was doing then he wouldnt be allowed to perform surgeries. And trust me...he has done several. So dont get all freaked out

I am a band to sleeve revision, which they say is more complicated than just sleeve. For that reason, I'm unsure about using him. With limited experience I'm not sure how many revisions he has done. With that being said still I have not heard one negative thing about him other than he is not a "certified" bariatric surgeon.

Yeah, I haven't either. Just really feel in my heart that we were misled. Never did request my op report- but it's been almost 5 months and we're all doing great. Not that it matters, but he is pretty easy on the eyes too!! ????

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
