Im on fork tender foods. I've had a chicken leg and it was wonderful and had no problems going down, but what about chicken wings (not fried) the hot buffalo baked kind.....anyone try these and have no problems?

I've never stopped having hot sauce. Not a problem for me. Wings should be fine. Even if it has some butter as well remember we need some fat in our diets

You're going to get different answers with this one. I waited until full foods to try anything spicy - it's possible trying them before that point might irritate your tummy. I'd ask your surgeon for the final word. I haven't had an issue with spicy food.

I have no problems with spicy except that sometimes I get over-excited (cuz I love spicy food) and u cannot drink while eating. So I have had to tone it down a little (or cheat and take a small cleansing sip) but no stomach issues!

The biggest issue that I see is not the spices, but to make sure that you really chew the food up very very well. I think that the first time that you eat them you should not eat them as you normally would, but instead eat them with a knife and fork. I think the way wings are normally eaten will encourage you to take bites that are too big. It is very important that the skin be chewed completely.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
