in hospital now, 12 hours out

Recommended Posts

Well, my experience so far. Going in was a little scary, but that was expected Everyone was great, no warning of going under, which was cool. Woke up disoriented and in pain. More I came too, better it got. I have on air booties, oxygen and iv. Have morphine pump and nothing hurts but incisions. Drinking Water, can burp easily and cough, no pain. My surgery was 2plus hours later than it was suppose to be. 330pm going in and took half hour is all. IM able to get up with help and feeling little weak. I know this will alll get better quickly, has so far. And I am GLAD I didn't back out. My shoulders hurt from the gas, feels like I layed wrong but but no biggie. So I feel pretty good for surgery 12 hours out. I am going to volunteer my time for anyone in this area, Utah, that would have to go alone get to and from alone and just be there for them before and after surgery. Please consider this your own areas. There are slot going through these things alone and should not have to. Much love to you all. Vicki

Sounds like you're handling this like a trooper! Well done you! Keep at it, take plenty of rest and Water and you'll be careering down the halls in no time. Oh, enjoy the booties btw. I loved them. Saw them as a constant leg massager! Sadly, by day two they'd whipped them off because I was already walking around and bossing everyone about :) Boo!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
