uh oh soup problem

Recommended Posts

so my friend and i went to panera bread tonight and i got a cup of cheddar broccoli Soup, not even thinking twice that even though it's a cream based soup it's cheese. i brought it home and strained it and ate about 1/4 of a cup. so far i haven't had any issues, it went down and didn't come back up. but i don't think cheese is approved on my phase 2 diet. does anyone know why i would be allowed milk and creamy Soups but not cheese? is there a big difference?

I'm fine, it's been a few hours and nothing happened. But I am curious as to why creamy Soups and milk is allowed and not cheese? Is there a difference between cheese getting digested from milk or creamy soups? Just wondering if anyone knows! Thanks!

Every doctor is different. I was not allowed STRING cheese because the stringiness could have gotten stuck in the way down, but I was allowed soft cheese cubes on my soft stage. I was allowed cream cheese on my pureed stage along with ricotta and cottage. I'm betting your doctor doesn't want people eating fried cheese sticks, hard cheddar, and various other tougher to manage cheeses so he/she put a blanket nix on all.

My phase 2 specifically says cottage and string cheese. My understanding is portion and fat content. In phase 3 or 4 it says cheese with less than 5g fat per serving.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
