So I'm 5 lbs from my goal weight. But I am very frustrated. I am 8 months out and worried I've stretched my sleeve. I can now eat lots of food I still get full but I totally failed today I already reached 1900 calories because I was stressed today. I usually don't have days like this. Can some one please tell me the facts of stretching and what are your calorie limits each day I do cardio almost everyday and I'm very active but today was a diet fail. I also am fighting carb cravings. I feel like I couldnt find rest while fat now that im thin I worry more.

Sad but true, we can eat more the further out we are from the surgery......There are some days where you will experience some stressful days and will have emotional eating going on. The sleeve is just a tool, it did not fix our brains unfortunately. However, you are doing really well with being so close to goal that this is just a hick up for you. :P Just continue to recognize when your having head hunger and eat healthy most of the time. We can never go back to our old eating patterns or we will regain the weight we lost. Now can we stretch our sleeves? Some doctors say yes and some doctors say no. So who do we believe? For me, I do believe that we have to be cautious of over eating. I do eat more than I did early out, but if I eat dense Proteins then I can only eat about 3 oz before becoming really full. If I eat junk sliders then I can eat way more than that.....like a ton. So I focus on Proteins and dense foods. I eat about 1200 calories a day and have plateaued here at 145 lbs. This is good for me. If I feel like my sleeve is holding more food, then I do the Basic Boot Camp Diet and focus on proteins first. This helps in giving a more restrictive feel with my sleeve. I also do the 5:2 Diet where I eat regularly for 5 days out of the weeks and then 2 days (any days I choose) I will eat around 500 calories. This helps with feeling my restriction also.

If you are having carb cravings, then I success you go back to the basics of Protein, Protein, and more protein for about 5 days and your carb cravings will decrease. Good luck and you can do this.....don't give up, you've come so far and look so good right now! :P

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
