Super light headed and dizzy

Recommended Posts

I am super light headed and dizzy. I feel like I am going to pass out. I will be one month out on Friday. This is the first time that I have had it this bad. I don't know what's up. I have eaten, and I am drinking a good amount of Water. I even drank some real sugar (mixed in tea) thinking maybe I needed it because my blood sugar was dropping. I literally feel drunk. Has anyone else had this?

Lots of Water flushes out potassium. Could be that.

Are you diabetic? Have you been checking your blood sugar regularly? What is it? If it's low, by all means have something sweet to bring it up. Fluids are the best to get it back to 100mg/dl quickly.

If you're not diabetic, and eating didn't help, you might want to see a doctor. If your blood pressure is dropping, and especially if you're on blood pressure meds, it might also be orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure too low.)

My questions would all be the same, but have you tried fluids other than Water? Gatorade?

If eating and drinking doesn't correct this then i think you need to see your medical professional. It could be blood pressure, or any number of things. Better safe than sorry here.

When I get dizzy it is either because I haven't had enough to eat or drink and it is easy to fix by eating and drinking.

I get dizzy and light headed if I'm doing too much or I haven't had enough to eat. Sometimes it's hard for me to decide the exact cause. When I feel like that my routine is to get a small glass of orange juice a string cheese and to sit/lay down. I take a few mins to eat the cheese, wait about 5 mins and sip on the o.j. And in about 20 mins from start to finish I feel better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
