Yes. I get this way, especially if I've had more carbs. Protein helps me fight hunger. Also, I'm not working again yet so I have a lot of time to think. That's bad. I do think the pouch empties fast. Small meals a day are good.

I believe that some of us have true hunger. I started getting hungry on day 10. I'm bummed I'm not 1 of the lucky ones that don't feel hunger. I also don't believe its acid, as some suggest. I take a PPI 2x a day and I've been feeling hunger for 46 yrs, I know what it feels like.

Some of us r lucky, some aren't. It doesn't take much to satiate me but then I'm hungry 90 mins later. Thank God I can only eat so little when I do eat...

That has been my experience too. I never had a reprieve from hunger, I've just learned to live with it. Some days are easier than others.

I have not been sleeved yet, but my main reason for wanting the sleeve is because I constantly feel hungry. I am hoping the sleeve will help curve this craving, but luckily my doc is making me really work on what I am eating now so that after the sleeve I have a foundation to work with. Good Luck, I really hope this is a phase for you and it will slowly dissipate. I can really relate to hunger issues.

I was STARVING week 2 and also weak and very tired. I was supposed to hold off on Liquid Protein until day 15, but I couldn't do it so I added very watered down Premier Protein shake -2 oz 3 times per day and this made me feel WAY better. I was missing the Protein. I was not one of the lucky ones that got my hunger removed with my stomach, but 3 months out and a cheese stick is enough for hours so that is AWESOME! It changes a lot once you move to mushies because once you are getting some real food there is definitely more satisfaction.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
