Woke up feeling awful 3 weeks post op

Recommended Posts

I hardly slept, could not get comfortable and my body just feels achy. Almost like flu achy. I've been nauseous off and on since yesterday but no fever. My bm's have been like liquid and I'm afraid I'm dehydrated. I've already been to the ER once for fluids at 8 days out. Trying to get some gatorade in and maybe a little sleep. Going to call the docs office when they open. Anyone experience these symptoms?

Have you been getting in at least 60 oz of fluids, that is the most important thing at this point, if you are having trouble drinking enough try drinking different temperature drinks to help get enough in. If you are getting enough Fluid, then how about Protein, it shouldn't be that much of a big deal yet but if you aren't getting any in could make you feel crappy. If your doing ok with both fluid and protein then it is probably some sort of illness not related to the sleeve. Good Luck and hope you feel better. P.S. if you continue to feel crappy or develop a temperature seek medical attention.

Thanks Richard. I know I'm not getting in 60oz yet. Its a struggle to get a 32oz G2 finished. I feel like I am sipping allll the time but I can't seem to take in that much!!

I track mine in MFP. Right now I consume around 600 cal, <25 fat grams, and shoot for 48-60oz of liquid (which is super hard), and 60 grams of Protein (which is also super hard)!

I had several mornings where I was very weak in the morning and just crappy up until about 5 weeks. I had a hard time standing up long enough to Iron my clothes for work without a rest. I think it was part of recovery ,I overdid it a bit the day before, needed more fluids or Protein, or any combo of these three things. All is pretty good now at 12 weeks. Take care of yourself it will get better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
