Just banded - Bad Back Pain

Recommended Posts

i was just banded on Monday. I am feeling pretty good except for having back pain on both sides (mid to lower region). Has anyone else had this problem. Also, tightness in my chest.

I don't know what the back pain is but the tightness in your chest might very well be gas. Try taking lots of Gas-X and walk alot. See if that works. Have you called your doctor about your back? I hope you feel better.

Per my experience that is normal. I had both of those the first two-three weeks. Some of it is postioning from surgery, the rest of it will be adjustment. It was MAJOR surgery to your stomach- yea I know its 'minor" tell those tissues that were cut, disturbed and manipulated.

I think the back pain is from laying flat on your back for 2 hours during surgery. Try a heating pad - I love my heating pad. 6 weeks out and I still use it now and then. It was also good for the tummy and shoulder for the gas. Gasx is good.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
