I know what you mean, I'm pre-op and the Dr wants me to lose weight before I can have surgery and between commercials and food days at work, I want to scream.

I don't know if you believe in aversion therapy but if you do this product could help:

Soda is the only thing that I really crave. Everything else is easy to stay away from, but I crave soda all the time! Thankfully for me, I tried a few sips, and it tasted yucky, and made my tummy feel gassy. So I know I wont be able to drink one, but I still want to.

By the way, DONT crunch on ice! My mom was an "ice eater" for years. She would crunch on cups full of ice every day. She RUINED her teeth. Broke several, and cracked others. The dentist said eating ice is a common cause of cracked teeth.

I have craved sodas a couple of times, but not forthe past couple of weeks. I hope I am really through that addiction's withdrawal!

I'm craving pizza. I am 4 weeks out.

I'm about 6 weeks and suddenly craving pizza. I keep hoping my daughter will get one so I can try a single bite. Today I took fresh mozz, a slice of Tomato and some basil and stuck it in the toaster oven broiler. Yum. Not pizza but yum.

I wasn't a huge soda drinker pre op, but when I have school (once a week) I would get a soda out of the vending machine. This last week I was at school, for the first time since surgery, and stood in the hall just staring at the vending machine. One of my classmates walked by, looked down the hall, kept walking, and came back, she walks over and puts her arm around my shoulder and goes "Come on, It's OK, you don't want it anyway" and we walked back to class lol

I'm craving pizza. I am 4 weeks out.

I made the most delish cauliflower pizza crust! It wasn't exactly the same as real pizza, but satisfied my craving! And I may be the minority, and I'll probably get bashed, but I have soda once in a while. I take a can of diet coke, let it go flat for a day or 2, then sip it when I have a craving. One can lasts about a week.

I want a nice cold beer when it's hot out. Really miss that. I tried a tiny sip of my hubby's glass and even that was too much. No beer for me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
