A slider is something you can eat easily without making your tummy feel full

Popcorn is a slider for me.

(you are too early PO - don't have any popcorn til doc gives the ok)

anyways, they have those small individual bags that have 100 calories each

i'll have a bag once in a while, (thats ok) - but then i make another bag - and i have even done 3 bags at a sitting

ok, ok guys - my big confession for the day

ahhhhhhhh, thats a load off my shoulders

another big slider for me are pistachio nuts (i'm a little nutty anyways  )

they are good for you - 28 would make a serving

welllll.....i've indulged in quite a few more than that

i've basically stopped eating both of the above - too easy for me to keep eating - don't want to tempt myself, keeping that stuff around

in moderation (as anything) both popcorn and pistachios are fine

but old habits can die hard, knowing i/you can't control ourselves over a certain food is 1/2 the battle

i choose not to have any around

your comment/quesion about shakes (Protein?) being a slider "amuses" me ;)

some people like the shakes (not me) but the concern that shakes are a slider???who would want to drink too many of those? :D

good luck

32 lbs down :o

lookin' good newbie :)

kathy

congrats

Even though a Protein Shake may slide down I don't think it's considered a slider.

If it's a ice cream shake or some sugar filled coffee drink, maybe.

Basically things that don't create a feeling of restriction that are empty calories with no Protein or things that fall under this category that create craving for more (carbs).

Each person may have different sliders foods.

For ME crackers, chips and almonds can be. (I can eat way more than a "serving" of almonds).

I think people have different slider foods, so you will also figure out some that pertain to yourself and may be the same or different than ones mentioned.

Special K cracker chips, unless I add hummus... Fresh fruit and fresh veggies (hooray!!!).

Most everything else lands like a ton of bricks.

Thanks everyone....this is very helpful. I never thought that carbs went through the pouch so quickly. Good to know. I have been staying away from them!

I've seen so many say that nuts are a slider... I can eat them without any sliming or discomfort but they fill me up FAST!!!

congrats

I had some plain air popped popcorn over the weekend. Have a popcorn maker that doesn't use oil, butter, nothing. That's a dangerous thing for me to have around. :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
