Not sure how far out you are talking. Right after surgery, no gummies but once you are on regular diet, it' s ok.

What brand of fiber supplements are people using? I tried the clear stuff, benefiber, but that is doing nothing but giving me the worst cramps with no results. I would like to be able to take some rougher fiber, psyllium or similar. Thanks in advance.

I'm a little concerned about being able to chug a glass of Metamucil before it turns to cement. We hve been doing 2 vitafusion fiber gummies since the beginning and they are working well for us.

My doctor recommended milk of magnesia for Constipation. The bottle says it will make you go "cramp free" in 30 minutes to 6 hours. I just drank it and it's absolutely disgusting. I am going to go get fiber gummies because I don't want to go through this again and I took the lowest dosage on the bottle...

Try a cap of Miralax with your Protein Drink each day. It is non-habit forming and safe to take long term. Doesn't promote the cramping.

Philips also makes magnesium pills that are quite effective and not icky since you swallow with Water. But the gummies are just plain yummy :P

Milk of magnesia does work but I cannot bring myself to drink it again. So awful. Drinking that is the only time I've nearly thrown up since I've come home from the hospital.

Try these caplets Instead http://www.amazon.com/Phillips-Laxative-Caplets-100-Count/dp/B001KYVL08/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1378087853&sr=8-1&keywords=Philips+magnesium

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
