Eating like I am going to the chair

Recommended Posts

No more mimosas? What's a girl to do? One of my fav wines is slightly carbonated. I will have to join the binge brigade and have a nice barbecue meal as well.

One thing I know I will miss though and it might sound crazy' date=' but I love taking a nice cold bottle of Water and just drinking it down. I already decided that will be the last thing I do before I go NPO the night before surgery.

Backtobarb, I miss mimosas too, but don't worry too much about missing your water. I am 13 weeks out, and I can easily turn up a cold water of bottle and drink it all. I've never had any problem drinking as much as I wanted.

I really hope I will too. There's nothing better than downing a cool bottle of water- well... a mimosa comes in a close second :)

Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking this way! I'm a newbie and scheduled for surgery in Oct. I've been allowing myself to eat what I want thinking it'll be the last time ever. I know I should start making changes now but it's so difficult!

I think I would literally choke someone for three French fries! Just 3 fries!!! I'm not hungry but I just keep smelling what people are eating around me is annoying!!! The smell seems stronger for some reason. Weird. Even when someone was eating crackers next to me I could smell it. One of my coworkers was standing over me eating a cookie the other day and I had to get up and walk away! I was so annoyed! I have 2 more days of work left before I get sleeved Monday. So happy! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}

I am 3 months post and prior to pre opt. I went nuts prior to pre opt diet. The night before the liquid diet I called it the last supper.

I just had my "last supper" today was my pre-op appointment (which took 9 hours!) and tomorrow starts my pre-op diet. I realized that there really are some things that I won't ever eat again, so I took advantage of that and ate my favorite meal, spaghetti. Lol

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
