Well I would love to hear all about your process since you are about to go through it. Thank you for the well wishes and yes' date=' December is right around the corner. I'm sooo looking forward to it. Stay positive and just remember Philippians 4:13.[/quote']

SleeveVPNYC ...Amen to that we sure can do all things through Christ who strengthens us =) ....well long story short i can say i didn't have to wait as long as some did i was diagnosed with PCOS and my PCP suggested that i start looking into bariatric surgery back in March this year she gave me all the info needed to a center of metabolic health that she is associated with i called them and when i did i noticed right from the start they were a little slow in the starting the process with patients. I called for 3 weeks just trying to set up an inicial appointment i finally got an answer and was given my 1st appointment to see the surgeon in September and then my first NUT appointment would have been in November waaaayy to long of a wait. I got some information from someone who had their surgery in B&W in Boston so in June i called to set up an appointment they quickly sent me to a 2 hour seminar and i was in to see my surgeon, 1st group NUT appointment, and lab work all on same day in July within that same week i had pretty much all my appointments saw the psych once, had an individual consultation with the NUT, and an Upper GI, in August i went back 2 see my surgeon to set a date he told me labs came out great, they did find a hiatal hernia when they did the Upper GI, and i was given a date for surgery. I had my preop testing done last week my paperwork were then submitted to my insurance and in less than 48 hrs i got an email saying i was approved and could move forward with my surgery (i was a bit worried about the insurance part all along) but my BMI was 43 when i started and i was told PCOS is one of the main medical reasons for an insurance to approve the surgery so it worked out just fine. Soo here i am a week away from my surgery anxious, nervous, scared, happy, all of the above =) God is good!

And i am glad i didn't stick with the first surgeon and center i was reffered to or i would have been seeing the surgeon for the first time now in september and lucky enough that i didn't have to do the 6 month powl program it isn't a requirement for my insurance thank God!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
