7 days and kids want mcdonalds

Recommended Posts

So im siting here drinking Water and sniffing a fish sandwich and cheese burger. I did taste some keychup. Anyways what can we eat at mcdonalds after the month? Fish no bread? Small cheese burger no bread? Calories are low without fries. Maybe grilled chicken wrap?

Just me, but I would have told them "eff to the no!" on McDonald's. But that's just me. A month in according to my given meal plan would mean absolutely nothing from McDonald's except their bottled Water. I would think fried anything would absolutely kill your stomach at this point. It really hasn't even healed completely by that point. I'd hold off on the fast food, indefinitely!

When I first read your last post I thought it said you were going to eat your kids! LOL! Listen, IMO you need to find a way to live your life and eat that works for you for the long run. No one is perfect and while Mickey D's is not stellar dining there are some salads on the menu as well as the grilled chicken sandwich. You aren't ready to eat this yet but eventually you will be able to. Then comes the real challenge because your head-hunger can mess with you and if you find it torture to smell the fries but not eat them it's probably better to avoid fast food restaurants.

I've had the wrap with grilled chicken in a pinch minus the tortilla. I found that after surgery the smell of the fries/hamburgers makes me physically sick.

This is why you went through classes and prepared meal plans in advance. It won't help the head hunger (or cancel out the smell of fries!) But hopefully you know what you can eat for now, and what you can expect to eat as your stomach heals. If you didn't take classes, or you don't have a dietitian, now is a good time to seek some help for your eating triggers. Good luck!

The small ranch wrap with no tortilla is under 100 calories, good in Protein. The scrambled eggs are good in protein. McDonald's can be sorta healthy if you do it right.

I'm not sure eating McDonalds 7 days out is smart regardless of the calorie content of what you choose. Do they serve apple sauce?

I had their scrambled eggs this am, well, about 1/8th their scrambled eggs, but in my defense. I did have a 7am procedure about 1/2 hour from my home. They were fine.

I wasn't allowed eggs until three weeks out. I know everyone's different but 10 days?

Unless I'm misunderstanding, the OP wasn't planning to eat at McD on this visit, just asking what one could have in the long-term.

I've thought of the grilled chicken sandwich with no bun, the chicken/steak wraps with no tortillas just eat the insides, and the English muffin Breakfast thing (sorry I don't know what it's called) without the English muffin, just the ham and egg.

Bluto started a thread about healthy fast food options that you might search for, since people had some great ideas for quick but WLS meals on the go.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
