Is it possible to live on FF refried beans and blue crabs?

Recommended Posts

I am finding lots of foods my Sleevilla will tolerate but not many that sit there and make everything feel all peaceful and happily satisfied except Beans and crab. Is it humanly possible to just eat these two things? (Not really serious, but kind of.)

What foods make your sleeve happiest? I know my tolerance will grow, but I seem to be stuck in the soft food stage.

I seem very limited right now too. All of a sudden I'm starting to feel nauseous after eater most things. I know it is probably just a phase, but kinda stinks! I should be able to add new foods, but I'm afraid to!

I'm 4 months out and I seem to be on a yogurt and cheese routine. They go down the best for me.

i'm 3 days out..... lol so Water and anything cold (except a popsicle) doesn't sit well. Tea and broth (well actually I hated the broth so I just strained cambells chicken noodle)....that's the stuff. Right now though, honestly? I'm just hoping to be able to eat at all eventually!!!

Have you tried scallops, shrimp or grilled fish? These all go down wonderfully for me. They are a main staple in my diet. I also found sauteed spinach to go easily in the early days. If you have a Whole Foods around you they have some terrific Soups my favorite is the tortilla chicken. If you scoop it right you can get quite a bit of savory moist chicken. I find cheese stick and cubed cheese to be good along with deli meat. Hope this helps! :)

Oh, I do love quiche! I was making those on my soft foods and forgot all about them. Thanks for the reminder. I've not tried ham salad yet, that's a great idea. And what exactly is in spinach souffle? It looks so gross, but I do like spinach. If it has feta in it, even better!

I am so lucky that anything and everything goes down and feels fine. I have tried it all, even rice and Pasta but I also didn't get that much restriction (which I have mixed feelings about- happy I can still enjoy food and unhappy I can still enjoy food!)

Have you tried other types of beans- black Beans or black bean Soup is a fav of mine.

How does tuna fish salad work for you?

I made pan seared scallops for the first time last night and it was yum-tastic! The sautéed spinach kinda scares me, but Hope tol give it a try soon

My little tummy has yet to meet anything she hates. Fish, shrimp, lobster, crab, beef, yogurt, cheese, Beans, chicken, lentils...bring it all! I haven't tried bread, Pasta and sugar but feel pretty sure she'd gobble those up with delight if I let her.

Always did say I had the constitution of an ox....

I feel like everything I eat just sits in my throat for a few minutes then goes down. I'm still eating like only 2 to 3 bites of food then I'm full. I'm going in to my 7th week and hopefully I will start to be able to eat more and drink more so I can loose this weight.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
