  3. I say wait till people notice your losing weight and then tell them if you want. What can they say after the fact... I am just starting to get "wow, you've really lost weight" I told 1 friend but everyone else I just say "Thanks!!!". I'm so excited and feel so great I want to tell everyone (kinda) but I really don't see the point, why do they need to know. I really want to tell people that could use this surgery for themselves the most because I know what they are living with.
  4. I haven't heard of that, your right (flush what???) After 13 days on liquids there isn't anything there??????????????????????
  5. I am going to try for more calories today. I think it's healthier to get in more but I feel like I'm doing something wrong when I eat. I know it's all in my head but I still cant believe I can eat what I want and still lose weight... I don't crave carbs anymore and I love that!!
  6. I promise it gets better, just try and sleep as much as u can
  7. I chose not to tell anyone except my husband and 1 friend. Just took a 10 day vacation... I am almost 6 weeks out and went to dinner with a friend I don't want to tell. Been putting her off since surgery. We were drinking buddys so I ordered 1 glass of wine added ice and took sm sips only drank about a third of the glass, told her I didn't like the wine (which was true) and I ate what I could of my fish, squash, mashed potatos, moving them around the plate to look like more. She did notice but I just said I am really trying to cut down. She didn't say anything else. Not sure why I don't want everyone to know, usually I am an open book but this is something I really want to keep private.
  8. 6 weeks out and can only get around 700. 900 is really good. How is your weigh loss going???

  14. best, best, decision i have ever made and i am only 5 weeks post op. i am down 26 lbs. good energy most days. the only thing is when there is something really good to eat around me and i can only eat like 5 bites i get sad because i don't have my "relationship" with food anymore.... Not really a bad problem to have... just got home from the park, before surgery 2 laps lagging behind my hubby and sweating like a pig I was done.... today i was walking faster than him and wasn't tired at all but couldn't get him to go around again!!! wow how my life is changing and so for the better!!

  16. I didnt tell anyone except my husband before surgery. I just told everyone i was taking a 10 day vac. I was able to go back work fine and nobody has noticed except that I am looking good!! I have told 2 friends now... what can they say after the fact...
  17. I'm 5 weeks out today. My doc put me on b12 shots once a month because i was so tired. My hubby didn't like giving it to me but he got over it!! I think I feel better?? I can eat most anything as long as I eat slow and sm bites. I bought a pill box and set my pills up for the week and keep it on the counter right by the frig. Haven't forgot once since i did this...

  20. AMEN!!! I agree with all these post. As long as I am not gaining I will try not to complain. I just can't believe with as little and as healthy and exercising the weight is not falling off of me. My best friend always says, :"well, how long did it take you to gain that weight???" I am 4 weeks out and have lost 20 but 7 was pre surgery!!
  21. My journey happened so fast I didn't have time to have all my favorites. i kinda feel lucky, think it might have messed with my mind. I decided to talk with a surgeon and 4 days later when I did he said he could do the surgery in 2 weeks so I left there and had to go on all liquids. The first 3 days sucked, caffeine withdrawals, and pure hunger. I had to have a ts of peanut butter at night with a sip of milk or I couldn't fall asleep. Surgery wasn't that bad. You just have to deal with it. No surgery is fun!!! I am 4 weeks out and feel so much better. I've lost 20 lbs but only a couple of people have noticed but I am starting to get, "wow you look really good today" so i'll take that for now. I went back to work (hair dressing) 10 days after surgery and I was fine, a little extra tired but nothing I couldn't handle. It's weird eating now, all the things that I thought I would want I don't. I really don't crave anything. I really do eat because I am hungry but 3oz is all I can eat and I usually have to make myself finish it. The first bite is the only really good bite. I have had some issues with being mad because I don't have the relationship with food anymore. I miss it... I am getting over it!! I have taken up yoga and I have been going to the beach as much as I can, just have to find things to fill my time and I find myself not thinking about food as much. Every day seems to get easier!!! Good luck to you!!!
