OK, I'm down to below my surgeon's goal weight in 5 1/2 months (yay me!). For the past few weeks I've been getting this strange discomfort by the lowest rib on my right side. It is kind of hard to describe, but I'll try my best. It is almost like a muscle or tendon or something is resting on my rib, and when I move a certain way it slides off the rib and almost 'pops' into place. It doesn't really hurt, but is uncomfortable and gets annoying. Any idea what this is, and if there's anything I could do about it?

Gall bladder? Doesn't that cause right side pain under the rib?

I really doubt it is the gall bladder. It really feels like a muscular thing, like it is moving. And it is only when I am changing positions. Maybe it's just one of those things I'll have to live with now that I'm not fat, like the tailbone pain when sitting down for long periods of time now.

I have this as well. I am not at goal but I have noticed the last couple of months this like dull ache on the right side there. It isn't my gall bladder or kidneys. The only thing I can think of is that is the side I sleep on the most so with new bones poking everywhere, it gets sore or something.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
