Your results are awesome! I had my surgery with Dr. Almanza on 5/10/13. Hopefully I will have similar results at 6 months.

Wow!!! That is beyond wonderful progress. Congratulations to you for your hard work.

I have been looking on this site for a couple of weeks now but just joined today because I'm sitting here driving myself crazy thinking I'm making a rash decision and not believing in myself that I can do this on my own.

The thoughts going through my head

I've lost before-I can do it again? But why do I gain it back and then some? I'm gonna kill myself trying to lose weight via surgery. Would I rather die trying to lose weight or die because I'm obese? Why am I thinking about dying? I don't have any serious health problems! I'm gonna get a blood clot. I'm losing my mind!

This is all me talking to myself and no I have no mental disorders :o This is my internal conversation these days and I'm just being honest.

This gives me hope that I am making the right decision for my future. I'll still be driving myself crazy until the morning of Oct 7th. Just hope I don't give myself a heart attack from stress because they'll still try to blame it on obesity. Jerks :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
