I'm not sure about the pain...after surgery I had tons of pain and discomfort all over. Mainly gas pain.

Actually now that I remember I had a pain on the left side of my belly and the doc told me normally people complain of pain on the right side. My pain turned out to just be horrible gas :)

Tired. Sleepy emotional and more tired. Everyone is different though. This is just my experience. Many people get their energy back sooner :)

Its normal for your stitches to be sore for 6 weeks off and on. They put a nerve block on the nerves to your stomach so its probably just healing pains

Everyone has a different experience and I am Day 7 Post Op today. I'll be honest, i had felt terrible Days 1-5 and i mean AWFUL! Headaches, backaches, rt upper arm aches, gas pains from laparoscopy & digestive system , nausea, soreness you name it! I texted a friend of mine who had lost 175 lbs since last July cause I really thought I might not make it thru i felt so badly and he said...it will pass...and it did! Day 6 felt sooooo much better! I was tired of reading posts like "no pain meds on day 2" "did i even have surgery i feeel great!" Lol. Hang in there, it WILL pass.

Hi, I'm 4 days post op today and am so glad to have found this app for my phone. I was worried that all this nausea and acid was abnormal and was getting quite depressed. Now I know its all par for the course which makes me feel alot better.

Day three is ROUGH, girl. If you had your children too... well, it's no wonder you're tired, sore and discouraged. I didn't have pain meds once I got home, but I still felt loopy for several days, plus the weird stomach sensations and fatigue. I couldn't concentrate on anything, or read, or even watch a show.

Today is Day 7 for me, and I feel pretty good. Still get tired, and that six-week mark sounds about right for feeling back to normal in terms of energy. Hopefully above normal, since you'll have lost so much weight by then!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
