Oregondaisy, he does have one detractor that posts a good bit on another board. I was very, very puzzled about why this person had him do her band, and sleeve revision and then privately messaged me that he is "not that great." When I was in Mexico I asked Yolanda. After I told her the years of her operations, she was able to pinpoint it. She didn't name names, of course, but said that this individual wanted to be a coordinator for him and her services were refused. She even showed up at the hospital with some folks saying she was his coordinator and they had to have her removed.

Serenity1959, yep, we know exactly who you are talking about. It is sad, because she used to be his greatest supporter. She is now very anti Dr. Aceves, and feels the same about VST as well. She seems to have a lot of anger, and none of us truly understand it.

I know exactly who you're talking about. She is very arrogant. And I know exactly why she is so anti VST. She is a very strange person.

Hi there, so glad to hear you had a good experience, so far! It's definitely a difficult decision and I'm in the very nervous phase right now because I'm two days from surgery. Thank you for checking in! Hope it continues to go well for you.

He's a genuinely nice surgeon. I had some violent postop puking which caused bad pain in my back and shoulders. It hurt worst than any postop surgical pain.

Dr. Aceves stopped in to check on me and actually massaged my shoulders and neck. He knew I had a lot of vomiting postop.

I had my surgery with Dr Aceves and his team 2 years ago. I think I blogged about it here and I definitely remember posting. Dr Aceves, Ernesto, and Sergio were all there when I had my surgery. The hardest part was being so nervous the night before and the flight home. I was going to Georgia so I had at least one layover and was too proud or stubborn to ask for assistance. I will probably get in touch with them for a plastics referral in the next 18 months. The entire team is friendly, caring, and knowledgeable.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
