I am one week into the pre-op diet and I feel like my metabolism is in over drive (which is good) but I cannot seem to sleep at night. It's not really my brain freaking out, it's more I just can relax and fall asleep. I spend a lot of the night dozing in and out. Is anyone else dealing with this or have dealt with it that can help with ideas (or just sympathy!)

I am gradually moving into my pre-op diet but I suspect that my erratic sleeping may be caused by my approaching 9/3 surgery date. I am not afraid, rather my mind seems to race when I am trying to cycle down and go to sleep. Let's face it, we will be making major changes in our lifestyles - no small issue. My go to is Melatonin - maybe this will help you too.

My doctor bases the length of pre-op dieting on BMI. My BMI calls for one week; but, based on what I have read on this and other bariatric blogs, I have decided to do 2 weeks. My thinking is to tune up my metabolism to get a head start on losing weight.

I have done the diet and health club routine and learned that I do not lose weight, I merely misplace it, only to "find" it when I fall off the diet wagon. This time, compliments of my sleeved stomach, I am committed to following my Doctor's advice.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
