Vomiting with Vitamins

Recommended Posts

I'm 4 weeks out, every Vitamin I've bought so far taste horrible, I finally went and ordered the opurity (orange berry), I've taken them twice now once on an empty stomach and once an hour or less after eating. Both times within a min I'm sick to my stomach and have to run to the restroom to vomit. Any suggestions? The nutritionist said not to take gummies or Flinstones Vitamins but I took gummies before surgery and never had this problem. Vomiting is so flippin painful.

Have you tried liquid vitamins? I take Wellesse liquid Vitamins and have had no problems with them. I think they taste fine but if you don't like the taste, you can dilute it with juice or Water.< /p>

I take the Multi-Vitamin, Calcium, and Iron.< /p>

You also might try taking the Vitamin pills right before a meal or right before bed -- my dietician said those tricks work for a lot of people.

Most Multivitamins are recommended to be taken with a meal, I believe this is reduce nausea caused by them. I personally take my Vitamins immediately before eating Breakfast. Good Luck.

I second Wellesse. I didn't care for the taste post-op but you can at least mask/change the basic flavor with MiO or some other no calorie flavoring.

Give those a try...also most Walmarts have them, so no need to order online.

Thank you. I will try the liquid vitamins. See if that's any better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
