I decided to go with Centennial because their self pay prices were a bit cheaper than Baptist's. A few grand here and there makes a big difference!

because I have to save up and pay I have to wait until December to have surgery. But I'm still so excited my dream is in sight and I can barely contain myself. I try not to talk to much about the surgery because i don't want my fellow coworkers getting sick of listening to me but i feel like I could burst with excitement.

HAHA right! my coworkers are probably sick of me talking about it. every morning i do a round of updated info ... almost....every morning. i am trying to save up as well. i have my surgery scheduled for the 30th of december but they require i pay half up front so i already told some family memebers to just help chip in for X-mas ;) everyday i just want it to be surgery day i just want it to happen this site is the only thing keeping me sane :D

. Jenny I had to move my surgery up so I ended up having my surgery the 4th of November. I actually had a good experience and the only struggle I had was the two weeks of full liquid you start to get bored with the same stuff over and over again. But enough with me good luck with your surgery and what a great way to start out the new year.

So what the story with the Protein you ladies have been talking about. ??

The dietians and Doctors recommend you start drinking Protein shakes before you have your surgery and after. There are so many different tastes and brands it's best to try out a few before your surgery so you have an idea of what you like later. Unfortately after your surgery your taste buds will change and what you liked before might make you sick after the surgery.

Wow really? Oh my that could suck. I have the lap band and having a revision done. Is there a huge difference between the before and after? Just asking because I have a few shakes I really like.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
