  19. my surgery is scheduled for the 30th! New Year meet the NEW ME!!!
  20. Game of Thrones. I am on the last book
  21. I have a daughter that is 6 and in 7/8 clothes. It hurts setting our babies be judged in this horrible world. And people don't even think before they open their mouths. I have a play therapist for my daughter. She basically told me to just enforce my daughter's self confidence at home. Switch up our phrasing, not a "oh honey I think you look beautiful" but a "honey don't you think you look beautiful?!" That way as you said she isn't relying on the rest of the world to tell her she is beautiful...she is looking to self for that compliment. I grew up concerned about what every one else thought about me. So I wanted to make sure my daughter didn't follow the same path of seeking approval where it wasn't going to be found. It's been a couple years of that expression change up that now it comes natural and now my daughter comes to me and says "Momma im so PROUD of MYSELF" "Momma I look so pretty in this DRESS" "Momma I did the right thing" I was the skinny beam pole when I was a kid and now I'm in dire need of WLS. Kids grow up and grow into their bodies...no one knows you're kids better then you. You know they are perfect. F* the rest of them they don't know your family.
  22. I kept my decision to get the surgery confined to a few people, that understood my reasons while i researched and found my surgeon. Then when i was SET on having the surgery i told the others in my life. I got the same reaction of "you are not big enough to need that" HAHAHAHA then i told them OH REALLY??? Guess my wieght. (they thought about 100 pounds lighter than i was) I told them i carry myself and my weight very well and you may not see it, but MEDICALLY and PERSONALLY i am FAT. it is a personal decision that isnt taken lightly. I am being put under on a surgical table. spending a buttload of my money. and drastically changing my eating habits....because i am just dylusional haha. Totally!
  23. if it was a weekend i might. would love to get to know some fellow sleevers.
  24. I might be a December Sleever! I am trying to tie up a few loose ends!

  26. CONGRATS! You look amazing!!!!! WORK IT!
  27. I know im late to the thread! BUT you are not alone! My doctor was not very supportive. I instead called my insurance and figure out how to do it all on my own! I luckly did not need a referal though. Sometimes you come upon glitches that are frustrating! Do not be detoured! Keep trucking along. I have a 6 month wait ahead as well! ONE STEP AT A TIME! This site is so helpful! Like minded people! We know what each other are going through!
  28. Hello everyone! I am brand-new to this site! My name is Jenny! 22, single momma of a beautiful 6 year old daughter! I am in the middle of the process to get the surgery done. Had a few glitches along the way as to be expected. My question to everyone is....how do you handle the anxiety/lack-of-patience leading up to the surgery? I just want it to happen already! I have spent enough time being over weight!
  29. I found this site through Pinterest! I am excited! I have a whole Pinterest Board devoted to my surgery.
