Weight loss VS Roller coasters

Recommended Posts

My husband and friend want to go to 6flags great America next weekend. I haven't been there since I was probably 16/17. The last time I tried a regular wooden roller coaster at mount Olympus, I got turned away because of my hips, at that time I believe I was a size 28. Before I started the surgery journey I was up to a size 30 and obviously could never fit in a roller coaster. Well, I am now 90 lbs down from that and now in a size 24 pant. I was wondering if anyone has any inkling if it's worth me even waiting in line for the coasters, (I know there are test seats, but id still be too embarrassed to try them) But I just want to hear any success stories anyone may have that may make me feel better about it! My husband went last year and was able to ride everything and he wears a size 42/44 pant and I put a pair of his pants on today and they fit me perfectly (weird I know, but i'm paranoid!) The last time I got turned away was a total dart to my confidence, although i'm a lot smaller, I just want to be 100% sure it's worth paying the money to go. Thanks!!!!

I am pretty sure when I was a size 22-24 I was still able to ride all the rides at Valley Fair (big theme park in MN) I weighed 260ish at 5'4''... See my pre-op pics on my profile, especially the one where I am standing. I think you will be ok!

When I was 287 pounds and a 22-24 I rode all the roller coasters at Disney. The other day I was there and it was wonderful to fit a little better. You should give it a try........could be a NSV for you!! :)

Good Luck and have a great time!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
