a change of period?

Recommended Posts

I got my monthly on 6/3 it usually lasts about 4-5 days. I was sleeved on 6/24 and then on Friday 6/28 I got it again. So now I'm feeling crampy it's 7/28 so I guess I can expect to get it around this time. Is it the body adjustment? Did this happen to anybody else?

Yes the anesthesia can do whacky things to the menstrual cycle, plus your hormones and body are changing daily. I don't think this is anything to worry about, but if you are concerned you should ask your doctor.

Same thing here. Surgery on 6/7 & cycle came 3 days later. It was 3 weeks early. At 3 mons post op, no cycle for 2 mons, then it returned again 2 times in the same month. Regular cycle started again @ 6 mons post op.

Oh let me tell you I had surgery March 18th 2013 and I was due for my period and it did not come, so by May 18th I had light spotting and then nothing until July 25th. I was soaking through super plus tampons every 1-2 hours I even had to add an overnight pad. This went on for two whole days and now my flow is back to normal. I did some research and apparently when you don't shed the lining it overgrows and builds up and it has to come out some time. I have even read on here where some women have there period continuously for 3 or more weeks after surgery.

Ugh, glad I wasn't the recipient of the gift of a 3 week period! That really would have put me over the edge and I would have done something I regret! Glad to hear it all normalized in a couple of months.

I was sleeved on 6/24 and started spotting during my stay at the hospital. I haven't had a cycle or cramps yet either but mine were not regular before. I had to take Lo Loestren to have them and due to the side effects of blood clots I stopped taking them 4 weeks before surgery and haven't started them back yet. I don't miss my cycle that bad lol..I kinda think our bodies are just off kilter.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
