Any October sleevers?

I am in the very early stages of the procedure (pyche eval done and first nutrition class on Tuesday) - I am excited about the possibility of getting my life back but also a little scared of the unknown. I have fought this weight all of my life and I am so tired of the fight - please tell me it is all worth it?

Did anyone else have a hernia repair? I was sleeved on oct 22nd and I am in alot of pain from the hernia repair any idea on how long till the pain goes away?

I had a hernia repair...wasn't so bad! The worst part is the gas!

I was sleeved oct 30th' date='came home yesterday,the gas is a KILLER!!!!not getting liquids down so well:-([/quote']

MM, the gas is a mess. Hang in there. Do you have some gas-x strips? I had to use them for a few days and they really helped. It's really hard to drink with that chest pain.

Don't weigh yourself for at least 2 weeks. It'll take a few days /a week to shed that extra iv weight from the hospital. Keep drinking, and sleep as much as you need to so you can heal. I had my surgery October 2nd and I promise it gets better fast!

Thanks! I feel so exhausted it isnt funny. I cant even think about walkng even though in the hospital I was walking all over the place. Tomorrow is a new day and I will try to get a bit of walking in, in between the naps. LOL

I was sleeved on Oct 7. Vetniemeer took the words right out of my mouth. The chest pain is lessened with walking and for me the strips were a huge help.

I think it's like a surgery high- you come down off of it a few days later and you're super exhausted. Don't push yourself. Rest but walk a couple laps around the house here and there.

I was sleeve on oct.29 , I know the feeling, all I do is sleep n I drink less because I'm afraid of my stomach having that painful pain

Day 4 after surgery. All liquids. All I eat is 4 ounces and the choices are Ensure high protein, or chicken broth or jello sugar free. Any other ideas?

Hang in there. Rest because your abdominal muscles need to bind back together. However balance this with sitting and walking so all the gads they put inside the body moves out easier. Remember to feed and hydrate well. I was sleeved in Oct 29 and taking this new life one day at a time. Tummy hurts much when I forget to rest in the afternoon for a few hours. I am walking around the house, sitting and resting. It helps a lot. Do not over do it. Listen to your body. Blessings
