I have had some very difficult personal issues in the last 4 months, and now all I can think about is drinking a ton of Pepsi. I haven't touched soda in over 1.5 years. I know food is not the answer, but I am not getting the emotional support I need from my husband or family :(

I hope your personal issues will come to an end soon. I know what the stress of life can do to a person and the coping mechanisms we use to relieve that stress. At least it isn't dessert that you are looking at. I don't know what soda will do to you when you are this far post op. What about taking a walk or doing some other type of exercise to relieve the stress. It seems easier said then done I realize this but we all have to figure out new go to coping mechanisms to stop our patterns. I truly do hope things get better!! :)

Maybe this will help: a woman I work with lost 200 pounds with gastric bypass and is slowly gaining it back now - not because of her food choices, but because she drinks soda constantly, often to the exclusion of all other beverages. She just had to go in and get her license changed (from her skinny picture) because her weight has gone up so much.

IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!!

I am only 5 days post op gastric sleeve and I just licked and sucked the cheese off of a .25 cent bag of Doritos. I didn't eat the chips. All chips are in the garbage. But I feel like a failure. It's too soon to indulge in cravings and I just dived in. Not a good sign. :( :(

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
