I'm only 4 days out. I'm gonna try the mushy stage tomorrow. If I can handle it...I'm sticking to it. I'd rather eat regular bland for vs. another protein shake right now. I'll drink the protein flavored waters, but "NO MORE PROTEIN SHAKES". Lol

It's so hard to keep anything down but broth I can

I too was sleeved on the 25th. I'm still struggling to get all fluids in daily. No nausea/vomiting thank god!!!Gas pains are gone since day 6, yeehaa!!! Just trying to get fluids, protein and walking everyday is my job right now. Not going to work till I feel better.

Please be careful transitioning to mushy. I'm advising you to talk to your doctor first about the protein. Your only 4 days out, I'm 8 days and I'm still on liquids for 6 more days. You can add plain protein powder to your broths and be getting that in. Try drinking things warm, cool, and cold to see what helps you get it down. Please be aware your tummy has been through a lot and may not be ready to handle soft/mushy foods yet. Talk to your doctor please!.........

Try the unjury chicken soup it is good.

I'm still trying to get my protein meats to go down smooth and I'm chewing very well but the gas is gone yeeess

Ok, so I finally found something I can stomach. Unflavored Unjury with unsweetened cocoa and low cal peanut butter powder. I can sweeten it to my liking. The peanut butter powder and cocoa mask the smell of the protein. Thank God!!!

How many weeks are you post op? How do you gauge that you have chewed enough? I'm not at that stage yet, just started full liquids but I'm very curious. Thanks :)

That's awesome!! I am having the same problem with the protein powders. Where did you get the low cal powdered peanut butter?

Walmart in the peanut butter section. I just stumbled upon it. If you find something that works...please share. I wish you a speedy recovery! :-)
