Ask your job about FMLA (family medical leave act) that might work and if you dont tell your job the specific reason for surgery your doctor can give you medical needy papers for work

Check on FMLA and does your employer not offer short term as part of your insurance...when I read post like this is makes me think how thankfuIl i am for my insurance. I dont have to use any vacation or sick time, I get short term pay which is about 70% of my regular pay and it starts on day one. I gained about 3 pound since my 1st visit Im worried he will say something I go in for my nut pre op meeting on Wednesday and my Dr pre op on Friday Im only have to do a 2 day liquid but have already started just to get a jump start...best of luck to uou and hopefully no more delays

I am Sept 23 as well! Had my last pre op appt today. When the nurse weighed me she said "this is the last time you will weigh this much". Wow, I can hardly imagine.

I start 2 week liquids on Monday - I get 3 oz of Lean Protein twice in the two weeks and all the non starchy veg I want. I am going to make a pot of WW 0 point veg Soup and eat that in addition to my Protein Shakes. It tastes really good and is filling.

That is such a great thought. I love the thought of never seeing my number again. My diet is 3 wks and it is 4 Protein Shakes and Clear Liquids or 2 shakes and a lean chicken or turkey with greens. It is suppose to be 1000-1200. Staying around 1000 and I am hungry!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
