3rd day post op.....taking 4 hours to drink 11 ounces

Recommended Posts

My doc said to use a shot glass a have 1 ounce every ten minutes for 10 hours of the day. That would leave 14 hours for sleep and excercise or other activities. It really helped me not to get behind in my Water and shake drinking.

Premier Protein shake tastes fine but a couple sips is all I can manage in 30 minutes.

Is this normal?

Sipping Water between sips of Protein shakes.

I can only drink about 2 oz of premiere protein in an hour. I pour a 4 oz glass and sip it until its gone for Breakfast. Then just try to get in Water. I'm 6 days post op and its hard getting in anything! A few sip in 30 min is fine. They told me to try a ounce every 15 min. I have to work at it, but can do it. Good luck to you!

It does get easier. The 1 oz/hour is good in the beginning.

good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
