Dr Visits- did you know there are no fat Pow?

No doubt. What a hag. I would have said I may be fat but you are a shitty nurse.

Oh my, I really feel for you. I can imagine all sorts of zingers to say to her (hindsight is so much fun.) how about, "actually, I'm leaving for North Korea right after surgery, how did you know?" Or, "I am a POW, I was held captive in Afghanistan (no offense to real POWs). Or, "Really? If I don't put food in my mouth I won't be fat? How does that work, really I never knew that!"

I find it really interesting that the most hurtful comments about my weight have been made by the medical profession, as if they feel its their duty to shock you into losing it. Many have no empathy and I would love to put them in my shoes!

We don't all feel that way. I would never do that to a patient. Like I said tyere are some nasty nurses out there and because nobody reports them we never can get rid of them. So every time report them.

I have to say having worked in the medical profession and many years in a Hospital most people are not rude, they are in the healthcare profession to help others. But there are some people who are hard and calous and they do get away with murder with their words that cut like a two edge sword.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
