How are you doing online research regarding docs?

Recommended Posts

I am looking for reliable information regarding physicians in Mexico. What I am finding is patient reviews or the physicians' websites. Would appreciate any help with this.

This was a tough one for me. I wasn't really able to find any reliable information online. I spent a lot of time personally contacting doctors and coordinators, then verifying experience and certifications online as much as I could.

Not only do I think the information is not as readily available for doctors in Mexico, there is the language issue (I speak and read a little Spanish but am by no means proficient), and names are often different on official documents vs how they are introduced due to cultural differences in surnames and middle names.

For example, my surgeon was Dr. Illan. He goes by Dr. Illan. On all of his official documentation with hospitals and professional associations and medical schools, his name is Dr. Jalil Illan Fraijo. So when I started doing research for Dr. Illan, it wasn't as readily available as I thought it might be...but when I searched for Dr Illan Fraijo, I was able to find some information.

Thanks KatlnFl for your response. Sounds like what I've been trying to do. I have noticed the difference in the names. Did you check out the hospital?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
