bcaa info needed

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else gotten nauseous after taking bcaa drink following an intense workout (mine had lifting and body weight exercises)? Maybe I need to carb up more closer to start of workout? My stomach was empty post workout. I drank 14 g bcaa on wake this am and another 14 g bcaa before, during and after workout. Also had creatine and recovery shake at about the same time post workout. Just felt really sick to my stomach and had to lay down. Maybe it was just a reaction to the flavor and not the bcaa, per say. Every online info says bcaa is safe and more is better. Thoughts?

I found it was not the bcaa, but the creatine taken around the same time. The creatine is sometimes rough on my stomach, but minor nauseous feeling goes away in a few minutes after drinking it mixed with a Protein shake.< /p>

It gets to be part of the lexicon when you discuss it all the time. :) creatine and BCAA are essentially Protein synthesis supplements that help prevent the muscles from entering a catabolic state; rather, they keep muscles operating in an anabolic state. Creatine helps draw Water into the muscle during repair. BCAAs are super efficient at racing towards the muscle to help with energy and repair. It is really important to optimize the results after hard work during your workouts.

I don't do creatine but I do BCAA pre and post workout. I haven't had a nausea problem due to my supplements but it's pretty common for me to work so hard that I throw up. My trainer does require that I eat something 60 minutes prior to workout that gets in at least 30 grams of carbs - usually 1/2 cup of brown rice or oatmeal (regular oats not the instant stuff with all the sugar). I do lifting, resistance training and crossfit type boot camps. - nothing more satisfying than tossing around a tractor tire.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
